Tashkent, September 4, 2024, - the CHFIU representatives participated in the 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference of the SCO RATS and the 2nd CIS Conference on Combating Terrorism and Extremism.
In his speech during the counterterrorism section, State Secretary – Deputy Director of Rosfinmonitoring Herman Neglyad noted that material and resource support is a key component of terrorist activity. Depriving terrorists of their resource base complicates their ability to commit crimes.
To this end, a number of measures are being implemented within the CHFIU, notably Operation "Barrier". The essence of this operation is to monitor financial flows into and out of zones with high terrorist activity (since the beginning of 2023, over 3,000 such individuals have been identified).
Furthermore, in cooperation with the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center (CIS ATC), measures are being carried out to identify individuals on interstate wanted lists for committing crimes of a terrorist nature (since the beginning of 2023, over 170 such individuals have been identified).
